RIVIERA CHRONOGRAPH // BY I-REEL

With the « Riviera Chronograph Black & White », we are back in this stunning villa on the French Riviera in the company of Baume & Mercier, aiming to capture the unique light of this place through photography.

This film was specially created for the 2025 Watches and Wonders Exhibition in two versions: 'Product Editing' and 'Lifestyle Editing'.
CAPTURING THE MOMENT //

We explore photography through the patient wait for the perfect moment. Using the villa's architecture as a 'frame', we played with walls and windows as elements of the composition, adding depth and perspective.

Humbly inspired by the composition, framing, and the art of capturing a fleeting moment practiced by black-and-white photographers such as Fan Ho, Willy Ronis, or Peter Lindbergh, this film is a tribute to the art of seizing the decisive instant, with a touch of mediterranean "art de vivre".
BLACK & WHITE //

It’s rare to have the opportunity to create a film in black and white.
Working with a monochromatic palette allowed us to explore image contrast with great precision.

Our Director of Photography’s work was essential in sculpting the visuals, using sharp, pronounced shadows to highlight both the model and the watch.

THE SPIRIT OF THE RIVIERA //

The Riviera is more than just a place — it’s a way of life.
It’s taking the time to enjoy a chilled drink on a terrace as the sun casts its warm rays. It’s listening to the song of the cicadas, watching the light filter through umbrella pines, and seeing dancing shadows play across the walls. It’s admiring the sunlight as it passes through frosted glass, fully savoring the moment.

"The Riviera" embodies the very essence of the dolce vita, where every instant is an invitation to relax and reflect.
